The greatest financial benefit that you can create within Viking CMS, that no other CMS can do as well is creating short-term sponsored pages. I think of them as "interactive brochures" for your sponsors. Your designers, not us, best understand the needs of your sponsors, and your sales team knows what sort of exposure they want. No CMS provider can give you a one-size-fits-all template for showing your sponsors' name, brand, service, or product. Only your sales team and designers can fully appreciate how your sponsors want to be represented.
Here are a few examples of short-term pages our current customers have produced in Viking CMS:
I call these "contest pages". It appears that this advertiser wanted their name and logo naturally paired with a newscaster that is often telling hunting, fishing, and outdoors stories. They even added a layer of dynamic content below, stories related to that topic. This is easy to do in our CMS, and the rest of the page layout was completely flexible, and not limited by a "block style" editor, so they have full range to build whatever they wanted!
Let's check out another: This is all designer-created HTML, this is not a drag-and-drop box style editor. They created and chose every item on the page with the full range and freedom of HTML. These "contest pages" are a huge revenue source. The best thing about it, is from a developer standpoint, none of that content had to be created in any framework, or "built" into any front-end system. It's a simple, freestanding page, built as if it was just a blank HTML document. This can be done by skilled designers very easily. None of it can "escape" and alter or affect anything else on the page or site. No development time, no scrums, no meetings, just drop in the HTML and go.
Finally, here is a third:
Here is a "topical page". It's not a contest, and it represents ad revenue from 8 different sponsors. It's a very clever campaign, and allows the company to put sponsored video content in front of their users, generating revenue from 8 different sponsors!
Viking CMS doesn't just allow you to create anything you want, it allows you to create and curate custom sponsorship solutions that are completely outside the scope of what your customers may have ever considered. Your ad team can approach them with a greater variety of possibilities, and you can execute those ad campaigns more effectively!
I'm Don Drury, and I created Viking CMS. I built a whole enterprise-scale CMS based on a need I saw working as a front-end developer within the largest media conglomerate in Oklahoma. They had spent 20 years trying to work around their CMS. They had hired a back-end developer, a front-end developer, 4 designers and still weren't able to do the basic things they wanted to do. I built Viking CMS and changed everything for them.
