We feel that our role is not to tell you what third-party vendors you should be using. Only you know who works best for your business model and viewers, we don't. You bring your own app vendor, and we provide the outgoing data feeds that best suite them. It's really not that difficult. All app vendors either need an RSS-like XML feed, or a JSON feed structured to connect with their system. We can create that as needed, and we always do it on a case-by-case basis.
One app vendor we have had great success with is Whiz. They support our banners, our stories, our categories very easily. We've already built the outgoing data feeds for that one. Check it out! We enjoy working with them, and they are able to support the kind of low-latency, fast TTL feeds that we produce.
We have worked together with Whiz to add many features that our clients wanted, like the "featured routes" that we use in our navigation, as well as the banners with poster images.
I'm Don Drury, and I created Viking CMS. I built a whole enterprise-scale CMS based on a need I saw working as a front-end developer within the largest media conglomerate in Oklahoma. They had spent 20 years trying to work around their CMS. They had hired a back-end developer, a front-end developer, 4 designers and still weren't able to do the basic things they wanted to do. I built Viking CMS and changed everything for them.
